Bought these knives a year ago and they are holding up quite nicely. They haven't seen the inside of our dishwasher because I plan on having these for a long long time. Some folks complain about kitchen knives in general rusting in the dishwasher. I'd be more worried about the dishwasher soap drying out the wood handles. Maybe it's the soap or hard water, I've never had a problem with any of my older knives rusting. They did get banged around in the dishwasher and that's never a good thing for a sharp edge.

Cleaning your knives immediately after use might sound like a chore but if you do it you'll find they are easier to clean before the food dries on them and they are ready right away if you need them.
Enough of that.

These knives arrived sharp and have stayed that way with just a few rubs with the supplied steel.
